got cold

I'm feeling cold and lonely today.

Somewhat depressed. Though there's no good reason for it. Just one of those things, I suppose. Ah well.

I've been looking into the making of latex clothes and things like vacuum beds. I have no skill with tailoring clothes or making patterns or anything like that, and I don't really have a workspace here large enough to do such things, not without risking getting rubber cement all over the floor or carpet. It would be pretty cool to be able to dress up a rubber doll without spending 1000's of extra dollars, but then again, homemade stuff would never look as nice as an expert's. Don't have a doll to dress up, either.

In addition to the latex stuff, I occasionally get a bug to learn about things like life-casting and mold-making.. to make statues or prosthetics or whatever one can make with such skills. I also get wondering about making little fetish or bondage figurines. I might be able to sell those, even. I look up a lot of stuff online, but it's easier to learn how to do such things by being taught by someone else. I haven't been able to find any place locally that can teach such things. I wish I had thought to try to learn this stuff when I lived in LA--where better?--but I didn't have creative ambitions in this direction back then.

None of it is simple, and taken altogether, downright intimidating. It's difficult to know where to start. I'm afraid I tend to overwhelm myself with such thoughts and end up doing nothing at all.

Bunny's Day

This is just great. I've been feeling a shade under the weather for a few days now. I got curious and researched the symptoms, and it would appear I have the mumps. It's so humiliating to even have something called a mump. What the heck is a mump anyway?

Happy Fertile Bunny to All and Sundry.
Here is my homemade easter card for the world.

The Indecisive Decorator

Went for another wood walk. I tend to do a lot of that. Walking, that is. The sun was just setting, the air was early Spring cool, the flowers all abloom. I saw lots more caterpillars.. they just amuse me to no end. Even found the motherload of about 25 milling around on a stone wall under some evergreen tree. But there were lots more dead on the pathway. Don't humans ever watch where they're putting their reckless, clumsy feet? I'm glad I'm not one.

Based on my experience at Linen's N Things and Lowes today, while looking for things for the new playroom, it seems I could start my own home improvement tv show: The Indecisive Decorator. I'd go to somebody's needy house and stand in a room for an hour, deep in thought. At the end, I'd move a lamp or something a few inches to the left, then change my mind and move it back. Now that's must-see-tv.

Singing in the rain

I went for a walk in the woods today. It was a perfect day, all cloudy and overcast, with the wind of an impending storm. I just had to take a walk. The wisteria is in bloom, and I saw 10 furry caterpillars. I had to stop and pick them up and put them off the path so they wouldn't get trodden on. I love it when it's overcast like that.. there's no hot, glaring sun and all the green seems more vibrant in the gloomy half-light. But then it started raining halfway back and I got damp. Ah well. I still had to stop and pick up caterpillars, lest their fuzzy butts would drown.
