Computing

What have I been up to?  I built a new computer, I did!  It's not my first, I built a gaming computer a few years back.  It's not too difficult so long as you make sure everything is compatible, but it's still a nerve-wracking endeavor for me... dealing with all these expensive bits and hoping I don't go all butterfingers and break them.  It's not super high-end or anything since this is just my 'work' computer (I use a separate pc for gaming), but it's awesome.  Boots in 12 seconds and is super quiet!  I wuvs it.

Hmm, my first (well, my family's first) computer was an Apple //c back around 1985.  It had a super fast 2400 baud modem, but of course going on CompuServe at those speeds got pretty expensive.  Then I got an Amiga 1200 in '92.  Color graphics and a whole 120 meg hard drive!  My first PC was a Compaq I got while in college.  After that I stuck with pre-built Compaqs up until, I think, 2008 when I built my first one.  It's come a long way in 30 years.  I wonder what they'll look like 30 years from now?

I can't hear you I'm gaming

So I've been spending some time playing Dragon Age Inquisition.  It's sometimes buggy, was pushed out too soon, but otherwise quite an enjoyable RPG.  It has gay and transgender characters.  It even has an in-game bard song dedicated to the awesomest companion I've seen in any Dragon Age game - Sera!

A Wild Evil Dolly Appears

I've been slowly putting together an outfit for a while, and last night I tried it out for the first time.  An Evil Dolly prototype!  A little blurry, tis true, but hopefully I'll have better shots soon.

Halloween Advices

Sometimes gourd-headed homonculi can be seen leering over fences on Halloween.

You've might even noticed them chasing you down country paths at twilight.

Did you know you can lure them home by dragging tins of muffins behind you?

Not that this is advised, because once they move in they'll start bringing home platters of cabbage brethren... with faces.  They'll never explain where they got them, but you'll know.  You'll know.

You must dispose of these immediately, or their ghastly miasma will cause all the fruits in your larder to cheerfully commit suicide by drowning.  They won't even realize what's happening until it's too late.

And, for the love of all you hold holy, never ever mate with the things.  The offspring of such a union, well...
