raggin' the walls

A slave friend came over yesterday to dapple paint on my walls. It all got quite messy, but it looks cool. Kind of an old, red leather look to it. She worked so hard and I was so pleased that I washed her feet afterwards and gave her a little footrub with strawberry lotion.

Today I found these black leathery (pleather, perhaps?) curtains for that room, with some iron finials. That should match just about any bondage furniture out there.

Also watched King Kong (remake) this morning. I was never a kong fan growing up... I'm just not a fan of apes, but it was a pretty okay movie. Movies of that kind always make me sentimental, as it's always easy for me to empathize with the monster who yearns for something beautiful. I feel like that most of the time.

Holy hosiery?

I had a dream where god declared an edict that everyone must buy at least one pair of pantyhose whenever they went shopping. If this was like the middle ages and I wrote that down, it'd prolly be religious law by now and we'd all have more pantyhose than we'd know what to do with.

Isn't it strange when your alarm clock wakes you up, but you're still too asleep to identify the persisent noise? Fumbling around on your nightstand... jostle the cup of water, no that's not it. Rotate the ashtray 90 degrees... doesn't help.  What's this glass thing and why should it be buzzing? Ponytail holder? What's going on? Oooh, the alarm clock! Hit snooze.

I sure did spend a lot of money on paint today.

Evil Dolly's Pet Peeve of the Day: It's a small peeve. Doncha just hate when you're driving on the freeway and you get an annoying itch right on the sole of your foot? Not save to try to scratch it, maybe beat your foot on the floorboards, or awkwardly switch your other foot to the gas pedal so that you can get to it. Very annoying.

NIN

Well that was silly. I took a nap and ended up dreaming of a short backrub. Apparently it must have felt good, because I woke myself with a squeal of delight. Then I started giggling. The alarm clock went off a minute later, so I must have good backrub timing.

The woody half the playroom's floor is finished, all brown and shiny. Oooh, and the cage door arrived. Very sturdy looking. Hee.
Went with some friends to see Nine Inch Nails concert last night. Quite the show! It was so cool. Lots of lights. And very loud. Earplugs were a must. I let my hair down. Actually one of my favorites of the evening was one of the more mellow ones- Something I Can Never Have, when the stage was nicely lit with purples and blues. He also did Burn, which is one of my favorites, since that ones not any of the albums, only the soundtrack for Natural Born Killers.

The opening band, I'm sad to say, was dreadful. Well, not so much a band as it wasn't really music at all. Just a guy screaming short bursts of anti-establishment poetry to a dissonant beat. A month from now Bauhaus will be opening for NIN, with Peter Murphy. Wish I coulda seen that.

It was also a good place to people watch. There weren't as many goth types there as one might think, but there was a lot of muffintopping going on. I was mad because the ticket person outright lied to me - twice - in assuring my that the tickets I got were seats. Instead they were for the standing only section, just behind the mosh area. At least there was a good view.

Carpetry

Darnit.. livejournal messed with my format and I can't get it back to the way it was.   Sigh!
Well, anyway.  I went to pick out some play room carpet with a slave friend, whose color sense is better than mine.  She was a huge help to me.  I think I finally found just the right carpet.  Although, the saleslady apparently assumed we were a couple.. hilarity insued.  Quiet, snickering hilarity, anyway.  I got her a malt which was hard to suck.  A most enjoyable afternoon.

Unfortunately, my dinner was a letdown.  I decided on Sonic, cause I was in the mood for corndogs.  They were out of corndogs.  So I got a large tots.  Then on the way home the bag fell over and 70 percent of the tots went tumbling to the car floor.  That was disappointing.

Remember to close your bags tightly!

I like redbuds.  They're so pretty this time of year, with their little purple flowers. They're all over the place, too.

The moon was really cool tonight. Big and fullish, with tendrils of backlit clouds creeping across.. all behind black, bare branches. Very moody.

The new floor for one of the play rooms is almost finished. It looks wonderful.. dark, smooth, shiny wood. Perfect for crawling on. I can almost hear the click of stiletto heels and the crisp dragging of chains already.

It's unseasonably warm this weekend. Moments ago I heard the first cricket of the year.

I tried to make some quesadillas, but they didn't turn out to well. They didn't turn out well at all.

A goodly day

Yay! The new playroom is coming along nicely. Finally settled on some cheap oak plank flooring in a nice dark brown. I couldn't find any of the laminate stuff that was nice, at least not for an equivilant price. The archway is done and real walls have gone up to replace the scary 70's paneling. And, while it took a deal of hemming and hawing, I decided on a crown moulding for both rooms. It's coming along, I say. Still haven't decided on a paint or a carpet. I've got my eye on a light pink I kinda like, but none have jumped out at me. May have to settle. Track lighting would have been prohibitively expensive, so I went with something simpler.

Also today I got the new Harry Potter dvd, as well as Mirrormask and Howl's Moving Castle- a kind of weird but cute anime.

wearily

I've been tired all week. One stupid overlong nap and my sleep gets screwed up for days. I've been neither bright-eyed nor bushy-tailed since last week. It sure got warm, though! I detect a certain amount of spring in the air. That might just be my air freshener.

The playroom is coming along. Got an archway framed in, it will make a nice play space. But I still haven't come to any concrete decorative decisions. I know I want something... that much I'm sure of.

I went to Home Depot today and wandered the aisles, but I couldn't decide on the right thing. I ended up simply buying some lengths of chain and some new locks. You know, for locking bad girls up in dark places. Or good girls. Could be either. I suppose the important thing is that girls are being locked in dark places. I think we can all agree on that.
